James E. (Jimmy) Reeves, attorney, serves as Of Counsel with the Bostic Law Group. He currently practices law in Summerville, SC, where he has been in practice since 2001 at his firm, James E. Reeves, P.A. Before establishing his own law practice, he was an attorney/member at Barnwell Whaley Patterson & Helms in Charleston, SC from 1993-2001. Mr. Reeves is experienced in the areas of residential and commercial real estate closings, real estate litigation, probate and estate planning, general business transactions, and general civil litigation. Before entering law school, Mr. Reeves was a school band director for five years in Lancaster County, South Carolina. Mr. Reeves is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina, the U. S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals.
Mr. Reeves holds a Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school he was a Member of the ABA Real Property, Probate and Trust Journal, the Order of the Coif, the Order of the Wig and Robe. He was the 1993 winner of the Woodrow Lewis Appellate Advocacy Award and the 1993 Recipient of the Compleat Lawyer Award. In 1985, he received his Bachelor of Music Education from the University of South Carolina.
Outside of his profession, Mr. Reeves is very involved in his church, Grace Christian Fellowship, where he serves as an elder. He also serves on the board of Child Evangelism Fellowship. Jimmy has been married to his wife, Jan, for thirty-one years. They have two children, Grace (27) and James (23). Jimmy and Jan enjoy watching Grace perform with the Cincinnati Ballet and love watching James play baseball with the New York Yankees organization.
